Our Client had been attempting to gain planning permission for renovation and extension of this cottage in it’s sensitive highland location. Following an earlier unsuccessful attempt, we took over the project and came up with a sympathetic scheme that reduced the size of the extension and aimed to create a modest house that sat comfortably in its beautiful loch side setting. The project centres round the restoration of the ruined cottage and the addition of a small, low lying timber extension.
